A marijuana plant operation was discovered Tuesday by police in Kaufman county. The highly developed growing operation was located in the Lawson Road area just off of state Highway 80.

A press release from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department stated the seizure included 7,125 marijuana plants. Apparently the illegal growing venture had started recently.

The street value of the marijuana plants after harvest is estimated to be in excess of $71,000.00.

This case is still under investigation and investigators are expecting several arrests charges to be filed.
