Police Blotter: Student Packs Loaded Gun

Here's a list of recent activities drawing the attention of North Texas law enforcement. List compiled on Sept. 15, 2011.

Student Packs Loaded Gun
A student at a Duncanville middle school is in trouble for allegedly bringing a loaded gun to school. Police took the Grace R Brandenburg Intermediate student into custody Thursday. The gun was found in his back pack. No one was hurt in the incident.

Truck Crashes Into Creek
A truck went off the road and into a creek Friday morning in Lewisville. It happened on the 500 block of the westbound service road of HWY 121. The Lewisville dive team didn’t find anyone in the truck. The crash shut down the service road from Lake Vista to MacArthur. There’s still no word on whether or not the driver of the truck was found.

Two Suspicious Fires in Dallas
Two house fires, which authorities have deemed “suspicious” happened Friday morning in the Fair Park area. Both blazes happened merely a street apart. Firefighters said the first fire started at a shed behind one of the houses.  Not long after, they found a house around the corner in flames. An arson investigator is checking into both fires. No one was hurt in the fires.
