Pair Wanted in Metro PCS Armed Robbery

Robbery caught on surveillance video

Dallas police are looking for two men who held up a Metro PCS store in Oak Cliff on Memorial Day.

Police provided surveillance video that shows two men in black caps storming the store in the 2600 block of West Jefferson.

The men stole a few thousand dollars in cellphones and cash.

One of the men went behind the counter and pointed his gun at Jazmin Pina, who went for her purse to give him her money. He then pointed the gun at her co-worker, Edwin Tarango.

Tarango said the man asked him where the money and phones were in the store.

A man and his 4-year-old daughter then walked in to the store. The man pointed his gun at the father and then the girl and asked for their money. The armed man stole $1,300 from the father.

The father can be seen on the surveillance video hugging his daughter.

"He was trying to do everything he could, because his little baby was here," Pina said.

Police said the armed man had his finger on the trigger most of the time during the robbery and appeared willing to shoot. Police said they want to catch the robbers because they could become violent if they hold up another store.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Dallas Police Robbery Unit at 214-671-3649.
