Police say a man attempted to kill a woman at a Plano apartment, then shot and killed himself late Friday night.
The woman had stumbled from where she was shot in the 3500 block of Bighorn Trail to a neighbor's home around 11:30 p.m. When police arrived, they found 55-year-old William D. Collyar dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds. The woman who was shot was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Plano Police say the investigation is ongoing.
