Plano police still haven’t made an arrest in the December 2011 slaying of a 24-year-old woman.
Jessica Velasquez was shot and killed Dec. 14, 2011, near an East Plano apartment complex. Police say a man shot her and two other men.
Officer David Tilley said the three victims didn’t know each other, but the shooter was the same person.
Velasquez's parents said it’s still hard dealing with their daughter’s death nine months later. They moved from Plano to Wylie to avoid the heartache.
But Pablo Velasquez said it’s hard to cope knowing the shooter is still on the loose.
“It's very hard and, as a father, I just want this guy to be caught so they can put him in jail,” he said.
