Mayor's 18th Annual Back to School Fair for DISD Students

    Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings dances with young attendees of the annual back-to-school fair at Fair Park.

    The Dallas Independent School District's 18th annual Mayor's Back to School Fair is August 1 this year.

    The free event runs 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fair Park's Automobile and Centennial Buildings.

    At the fair, free school supplies and free health screenings will be available to families with school-aged children who meet eligibility requirements and also live in the city of Dallas and attend a DISD school.

    Eligible families can avoid long lines by pre-registering for the fair at one of the following locations:

    Friday, July 25; 5 - 7 p.m.
    Saturday, July 26; 10 a.m. - noon
    Cobb Field House
    1702 Robert B. Cullum Boulevard

    Friday, July 25; 4 - 6 p.m.
    H&R Block
    1515 North Cockrell Hill
    Dallas, TX 75212

    Wednesday, July 30; 4 - 6 p.m.
