A 71-year-old suburban Dallas man has been sentenced to 29 years in prison with no parole by a jury that convicted him of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl.
DNA evidence was used to connect Son T. Nguyen, of Richardson, to the August 2015 assault on the girl who had been left in the care of his girlfriend.
Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said Monday the child told her mother about the attack and the girl's mother took her to a physician and then to a clinic where DNA evidence was collected during a sexual assault exam.
Nguyen had been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of 6.
The jury's sentence means he'll be imprisoned until he's 100 years old.
