The funeral for Wade McLain, 55, a Texas high school football coach who collapsed and died after the first day of practice this season takes place Thursday at 2 p.m.
McLain died of heat exposure combined with a heart condition, the Collin County Medical Examiner's office said.
McLain was a coach at the Prestonwood Christian Academy and is remembered by his family and players as a loving father and coach.
