The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about aggressive bees after a local man was attacked and sent to the hospital.

The man told Sheriff Bob Alford he was building and repairing a fence on his property and unintentionally stirred the bees.

The man said he had dealt with bees in the past, but he had never been as aggressively attacked.

The resident wanted the public to be aware so that no one else is aggressively attacked by bees; especially children.

If you encounter a hive of bees it is advised to be cautious especially when children are in the area.
