Hurst Child Porn Suspect Transferred to Tarrant County Jail

A teenager accused of posing as a sixth-grader in an alleged attempt to recruit sex crime victims is now being held in the Tarrant County Jail.

Ricardo Lugo, 17, is charged with possession of child pornography and remains behind bars on $250,000 bond, according to Hurst police.

Lugo was transferred Tuesday afternoon by the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office from the Hurst Municipal Jail to the Tarrant County Jail.

Randy Ray Wesson, 28, posed as Lugo's father, according to police, and is facing federal charges connected to possession with the intent to promote child pornography, sale or display of harmful material and tampering with a government record.

Wesson admitted to investigators he had sexually assaulted more than 100 children and identified a dozen of them by name, according to police records.

The Instagram page investigators believe belongs to Lugo features several pictures of the 17-year-old posing in children's clothing.

Court documents obtained by NBC 5 reveal his Instagram account - username "mattydrew02" - features photographs of a boy, who police believe to be Lugo, dressed in "Cars"-themed pajamas, lying on a "Cars"-themed bedspread and donning a fake mustache while wearing a cartoon-themed shirt.

The profile makes the claim that the user is a child, with the message:

"Hey guys I'm 11 about to be 12 single but here for friends well just ask I'll answer I promise Please no haters Puppies/dinosaurs are Awesome"

The username "mattydrew02" is similar to the name police claim Lugo used to pose as a 12-year-old sixth grader at Hurst Hills Elementary School, Matthew Drew Wesson.
