Garland Gun Shop Sold Pistols to Las Vegas Shooter

A Garland gun shop owner who sold weapons to Las Vegas concert gunman Stephen Paddock says he's reliving conversations with Paddock and his girlfriend.

Paddock previously lived a mile away from B & S Guns in Garland and was in the store as recently as last year.

Store owner Paul Peddle said Paddock was "quiet and very unassuming," but asked plenty of questions when he shopped at his store in 2010, 2011 and 2016.

Paddle said it was obvious Paddock had experience with weapons.

"His questions were very pointed. He knew what he was talking about," Peddle said.

Peddle said Paddock bought several pistol from the store in 2010 and 2011. The store owner showed NBC 5 a receipt for one of the weapons — a rare FN Five-Seven for $1,200.

"He didn't give us any red flags," Peddle said.

It isn't the weapons, or Paddock, that came to mind when news of the massacre in Las Vegas broke, Peddle said.

He said it was Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley, and her unusual behavior inside the store that he remembered most.

"She was on the floor with my dogs for about an hour-and-a-half, and just was in love with them," he said.

Peddle said the couple came to the store twice last year — visits he's now replaying in his mind.

"It's human nature," he said.

It's unknown if any of the weapons purchased at B & S were among the 47 guns found in Paddock's hotel room and Nevada home.
