Country Star Joins Fans for Boot Camp Ahead of DFW Concert

So what does a country star do just hours before taking the stage in DFW?

If you're Thomas Rhett, you look for an intense workout.

The "T-shirt" singer donned a t-shirt, shorts, and sweatband Saturday afternoon – then met about twenty of his fans at the Snap Fitness in Arlington for an hour long boot camp class.

"It's fun to just get on a treadmill and run beside [the fans] and ask them about their life – or while they're in a plank position just be like what's up?" said Rhett, who performed Saturday night at Gexa Energy Pavilion.

"It's just a lot of fun to do it."

Rhett says working out became a greater priority for him after he repeatedly found himself running out of breath during shows early in his career.

He's now hosting several of these events as he tours in the country in hopes of inspiring his fans to make healthy choices.

"I want to show fans how my lifestyle works when I'm so busy, but I can still find time to eat well and find time to get a sweat on everyday," said Rhett.

"It's nice to just encourage people in that way."
