Arlington Home Destroyed by Fire

An Arlington home was destroyed by a fire early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were called to the 1500 block of Carlsbad Drive, near the Arlington Municipal Airport.

The fire started around 2:45 a.m. and flames were shooting through the roof when firefighters arrived.

Family members who live nearby said a man and several dogs lived at the home, but that they hadn't been found. Firefighters were unable to go inside because they were afraid the home may collapse.

About an hour after the fire started, fire crews finished their search inside the home and did not find the man. He arrived at the home a little later.

Fire investigators continue their inquiry into what started the fire this morning.

No injuries have been reported.
