The Copperas Cove Police Department has canceled an Amber Alert for a two-year-old girl who had been missing for more than a week.

Late Wednesday afternoon, the Amber Alert was canceled when Jaelyn Gucciana Johnson was found safe.

The little girl was taken from her grandparents home west of Killeen on August 05 but the Amber Alert wasn't issued until August 13.

Police say she was taken by her mother Shemeka Johnson. Police believed the little girl was in danger because police say Shemeka Jonson is suspected of using heavy narcotics such as synthetic marijuana, referred to as spice, and methamphetamines.

Police say during the last communication with Shemeka Johnson she said that Jaelyn was no longer in her care and that she was cutting off her cell phone so that she could not be tracked.
