It's Day 7 of the 2017 State Fair of Texas. Here's 5 things you need to know before heading to the fair on Thursday.
- First thing to know is Thursday is Senior Day. Anyone 60 years of age or older get in for free.
- Once inside, go check out Big Tex's Farmyard Discovery Farm. You can learn all about agriculture and livestock's impact on your daily lives. The farm is open from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
- Kids won't want to miss the World of Magic inside the Oak Farms Theater. There's magic tricks and illusions, even a floating robot. You can find the theater at the east end of the creative arts building.
- Make sure you also check out the Livestock 101 presentation at the Ag-Power Plaza. That's where you can find out what animals are on display that day, and then take off on a guided livestock tour.
- Later in the day, "A Night of Gospel and Inspiration" performs on the Chevrolet Main Stage. Show times are at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
