The Dallas Cowboys have the best stadium in America and now will have an equally impressive merchandising headquarters from which to ship their wares.

The Cowboys plan to consolidate three offices and expand their overall merchandising efforts with a new 400,000 square-foot warehouse, production and headquarters at DFW International Airport.

The new facility will house the team's merchandising group, pro shop and Blue Star Graphics & Design.

"This move was caused by the passion and love that the fans in the Metroplex and across America have for the Dallas Cowboys," said Bill Priakos, vice president of merchandising for the Cowboys.  "When we purchased our original building on Hwy. 114, I never thought that we could outgrow it and yet a little over a year later, we needed an additional 100,000 square-feet. No other team in the NFL has this ability to respond to its fans’ needs."

Priakos added that the airport ability to move product played a major role in deciding the location of the facility.

"The Cowboys selected this site because of its central location to the Metroplex, its adjacency to DFW Airport and the triple free port, and the outstanding foreign trade zone operations.  The Cowboys source product from throughout the world and the foreign trade zone is uniquely qualified to support these efforts and made this an ideal location."

The facility is expected to open in February 2010.
