Worker Shot Inside Grand Prairie Office Building

Shooting happened in 2000 block of North Highway 360



    Shooting at office in Grand Prairie

    One person is in custody after a shooting in Grand Prairie Tuesday afternoon. 

    The shooting took place on the fourth floor of a building in the 2000 block of North Highway 360 at about 2 p.m.

    One person was shot and was transported to the hospital for treatment, Grand Prairie police said. The victim died shortly after arriving at the hospital. Police have not revealed the victim's name.

    Police say Louis Anthony Davies has been charged in connection wit the shooting.

    Several police units responded to the building and could be seen from Chopper 5. SWAT was also called in to help find Davis, who eluded police for several hours.

    Police said the gunman fled the building after the shooting. SWAT and a DPS helicopter assisted in the search. Davis was taken into custody just after 5 p.m. and is currently being held on murder charges.

    The investigation is on-going.
