New York Governor Eliot Spitzer resigned after his involvement with prostitutes was revealed. In March of 2008, The New York Times reported that Spitzer had patronized a high-priced prostitution service called "Emperors Club" and met for over two hours with a $1,000-an-hour call girl/singer who went by the name Ashley Alexandra Dupré.
