MTV's Jersey Shore premiered last night and already there’s plenty of drinking, clubbing, tanning, working-out and hot-tubbing -- all laced with drama.

The show focuses on a group of young Italian-Americans who moved into a house at the Jersey shore where they lived and worked together for the entire summer.

Critics of the show, especially UNICO, a New Jersey-based Italian-American service organization, disapproved of the term “guido” and "guidette” and the behavior the show seems to glorify.

Even Italian-American foodstuff maker Domino's Pizza just recently announced that they were pulling its ads from the show.

"The content of this particular program is not right for Domino's Pizza," a rep for the pizza company told TMZ.

"It's not necessarily a stereotype; it's just how it is," castmember Mike Sorrentio told MTV. "In New York and New Jersey, that just happens to be the style."

Sorrentio, 27, an assistant gym manager from Staten Island, defends the show saying that the show is just about a bunch of young people trying to have some fun.

"It's just how we have fun on the East Coast,” Sorrentio said. “I'm sure when  [UNICO President] Mr. [Andre] DiMino was young he went to beach clubs in the summer."

“The show continues MTV’s history of documenting various subcultures, rites of passage of young people, and the ways they self-identify,” the network said in a statement. “The Italian-American cast takes pride in their ethnicity. We understand that this show is not intended for every audience and depicts just one aspect of youth culture.”

As advertised, there was plenty of clubbing, drinking and drama in the premiere. Surprisingly, however, only one member of the cast members is from the Garden State. Most are from New York.

And, of course, soon after the eight youths moved into the house, the trash talk begun.

Sorrentio, a.k.a., the Situation, is the first to move in, then Pauly D arrives and the two immediately clique. Then Angelina "Jolie", Jenni "J-WOW", Nicole, Ronnie, Sammi "Sweetheart"and Vinny move in and everyone generally gets along at first.

Things heated up the first night when Nicole, nicknamed Snooki,  got wasted the first night, alienating herself from the others. The next day, she showed up late for work, further irking her roomates. She even considered leaving the show.

On another night, the ladies of the house got were upset when the men invited strangers to the house. One of the lady strangers even removed her swimsuit in the jacuzzi.

There is certainly more drama/guidiocy to come in the next few weeks. If you're interested in seeing a bunch of hunks and bimbos act silly, then watch the show because recaps just don't do it justice.
