Nick Jonas: From Teen Dream to President?

Nick Jonas conquered the teen world as a member of pop ensemble the Jonas Brothers, and late last year he launched a solo career fronting Nick Jonas and The Administration. Still, the heartthrob seems to have even loftier ambitions, as he gets older.

The 17-year-old is thinking about landing another title in the future โ€“ Commander In Chief โ€“ thanks to his family nicknaming him "Mr. Prez."

"It was a joke at first," Nick told Parade magazine for their April 18 issue. "Then I thought, 'Man, it actually would be cool to run for President one day.' I've always been quite driven. I take after my father. He's a driven person. He's also a leader. He does a great job as a mentor to all of us."

For now, however, Nick is content to make big decisions with the help of his siblings โ€“ brothers Kevin and Joe.

"We make decisions together โ€” even when we're doing things individually," he said. "Going into my first solo album, it's good to know that they were excited. There's been a good vibe from the get-go."

One thing the gents have decided collectively not to do is talk about their famed purity rings.

"We like to keep some things private," he said. "We appreciate it when people respect that. Everyone has a right to his own business."

Nick will talk though about his aspirations for his new music.

"I hope my peers in music and my friends are liking it," he said. "I hope they can see my growth in music. It's a dream of mine to win a Grammy one day.

"I'm not saying I'm Grammy-worthy," he continued. "But it would be a dream come true."
