Sneak Peek: Justin Bieber's Book Moves Closer to Shelves

16-year-old phenom's tome due out in October

    Justin Bieber Fever continues to build toward a fever pitch with a sneak peek at the cover shot of his upcoming book.

    The 16-year-old pop star's first book, "Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story," is due out in October. But People magazine published an early shot of the book's cover, which features a message from the 16-year-old: "Lots of exclusive photos just for you. Love Justin xxx."

    Fans can expect to read about Bieber's jet-setting lifestyle, his road to stardom (from viral video to meeting Usher in Atlanta) and personal anecdotes about his family and best friends, according to the magazine. The HarperCollins book will also include tidbits about the teen idol's very first date.

    The Canadian singer's first hit, "One Time," came out last year and was followed by his platinum-selling album "My World." Bieber, who taught himself to play piano, drums, guitar and trumpet, got his start with a YouTube video that led to a contract with Island Records.
