Where will Sean Lee play in 2016?

The Cowboys wanted Rolando McClain to be their starting middle linebacker. He's not in camp and will have to serve a 10-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Sean Lee can play middle linebacker, but the Pro Bowler set the record straight at training camp.

"Right now, they have me at weak side," he said. "I've played both positions."

Early in camp, third-year linebacker Anthony Hitchens has been running with the first-team defense at middle linebacker. Justin Durant has re-signed with the Cowboys and can play middle linebacker.

Lee believes the media is spending too much time dissecting the position issue.

"I think there is a lot made out of it. I think they are similar positions," he said. "Right now, they have me at the Will. I think I'll stay there. We have guys who can play that Mike position."
