Report: Orlando Scandrick Has Surgery To Fix Broken Hand

Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick spent the early part of his black Friday undergoing surgery to repair a broken left hand, suffered in the first half of the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Washington Redskins, ESPN Dallas has reported.

Scandrick said after the 38-31 loss that he was unsure if he would be able to return in 2012, but with five games left (not counting the playoffs!), he expressed some hope that he’ll get a chance.

“Being optimistic, hopefully I'll be back," Scandrick said in the report today. “If there is any way I can play, I will be back.”

Dallas has already lost three defensive starters for the season, including safety Barry Church (Achilles), linebacker Sean Lee (toe) and defensive end Kenyon Coleman (triceps).
