Cowboys Lead Detroit at Half, 10-7

The Cowboys only touchdown was set up by a 74-yard interception return by Sean Lee

The Lions’ Calvin Johnson has been as good as advertised today in Detroit, but thanks in part to a huge interception by middle linebacker Sean Lee, the Cowboys have the lead at half, 10-7.

Johnson caught a two-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter, just a few plays after taking a pass from QB Matt Stafford 87 yards, to give the Lions an early 7-0 lead. Megatron finished the first half with six catches for 156 yards and the score.

The Cowboys’ offense never really got going in the first half, but they managed a second quarter Dan Bailey field goal, a 53-yarder to tie his season long and get Dallas on the board at 7-3.

Then on the ensuing Lions possession, Lee took his second interception of the day 74 yards to the Detroit four-yard line. Tony Romo and co. lost a yard and were faced with a third-and-goal before Romo hit Dez Bryant in the back of the end zone for a five-yard touchdown to give Dallas the lead, 10-7. It was Bryant’s only catch of the first half.
