Cowboys Announce Preseason Opponents

Dallas will play five exhibitions in preparation for the 2013 season, beginning on August 4

The NFL released its preseason schedule on Thursday--well, the opponents and locations, anyway--and the Dallas Cowboys will have five exhibitions to prepare for the 2013 regular season. Four of them will come against opponents from the AFC.

Dallas will open up the preseason on August 4 against the Miami Dolphins in the annual Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio--the same weekend that they’ll watch franchise legend and perhaps the greatest offensive lineman in the history of the game, Larry Allen, be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Allen will be introduced by Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones.

The Cowboys will then hit the road for a pair of games, against the Oakland Raiders and the Arizona Cardinals. They’ll face the Raiders during the regular season as well.

The team finishes up their 2013 preseason schedule with home games against the Cincinnati Bengals and then the Houston Texans.

According to the Cowboys’ official website, the league is expected to announce the regular season schedule at some point next week.
