One can never be certain at this point, but Wednesday is the day when most of the offense is installed for the coming game. Additionally, head coach Wade Phillips said that he’d gauge Colombo’s status for Sunday on whether (and how well) he practiced today. "If he doesn't [practice], I'll be less optimistic," Phillips said.
Practice Wednesday was held at TCU’s indoor facility, as a torrential downpour shooed the team from Valley Ranch; Cowboys Stadium, which usually serves as the team’s place of refuge in case of inclement weather, is being prepared for a concert.
Less surprisingly, Kyle Kosier missed practice again today as well, and is less likely than Colombo even for this Sunday--which is to say, barring the miraculous, the starting left guard won’t play.
Should Colombo miss Sunday night’s opener, he will be replaced by Alex Barron; Kosier will be replaced by Montrae Holland.
Colombo has been out since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-August.
