North Texas parking lots were packed. On the coldest night of the year, it can only mean one thing: last minute Christmas shopping.
Tom Sharp and his fiance mary would normally be bundled up inside, but instead they were bundled up in coats and gloves trying to stay warm.
"At least it's not windy. That's the main thing. It's not real windy," said Tom.
Priscilla Martinez took along reinforcements to help out with her young daughter.
"I have my little brother and my sister, and they help me out," said Martinez.
For native North Texans, the shot of cold is just what Santa ordered.
"It's cold, and it's supposed to be cold during Christmas," said Val Coleman.
Despite the freezing temperatures, the stores were busy like you would expect the Sunday before Christmas. Some people reported waiting in lines for 15 or 20 minutes.
With cold temperatures in the forecast again Monday, shoppers have one piece of advice for everyone: Bundle up.
