Spam Museum Reopens Friday

Most people either love or hate Spam, and those who love it will be able to visit a museum for Hormel's canned meat product beginning Friday.

The renovated Spam Museum will reopen in a new location in Austin, Minnesota. The museum had been at the Hormel factory, but they moved across town in an effort to revitalize the downtown area.

The new museum has several interactive displays, a 12-foot Spam rocket and a Spam can conveyor belt hanging from the ceiling.

Nearby restaurants will even serve Spam dishes to attract spam fans from across the country.

Chef Juan Rodriguez of Magdalen’s restaurant in Fort Worth creates Spam Wasabi and a Spam tostada in honor of the reopening of the Spam Museum in Minnesota.
