1 Injured When Bullet Goes Through Gun Shop Wall

Instructor at neighboring gymnastics club suffers facial injury

Authorities say a man at a business next to a gun shop in Jourdanton has been hurt after a bullet was accidentally fired through the shared wall.

Jourdanton police Chief Eric Kaiser said a worker at The Bullet Hole was unloading a pistol Tuesday afternoon when the gun discharged.

Police said a male instructor at a neighboring gymnastics club suffered a facial injury and was transported to a San Antonio hospital.

Kaiser said the man, whose name has not been released by police, was alert and conscious. Further details on his condition weren't immediately available.

Police are trying to determine whether the victim was struck by the ricocheting bullet, a fragment or other debris.

Kaiser said police do not expect to charge the gun shop worker.
