At least two people were injured after a pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle crash, that included a state trooper, in south Fort Worth Monday afternoon, authorities say.

The pursuit started at about 3:10 p.m. on the eastbound side of Interstate 20 in Willow Park when a state trooper attempted to stop a Dodge Durango for a traffic violation, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS said the driver of the Durango, a 37-year-old woman, fled the state trooper, leading to the crash on I-20 at McCart Avenue in Fort Worth.

The Durango rear-ended a box truck and hit two other vehicles, which caused those two to strike two others, DPS said.

The driver of the Durango was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and one other person involved was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries, DPS said.

The reason the woman fled the trooper was not yet known Monday night, authorities said.
