If you've been waiting for Verizon FiOS, you're going to be waiting a long time.
Verizon FiOS already serves about 600,000 Dallas-Fort Worth homes in 33 North Texas cities, but according to the Dallas Business Journal the New York-based company won't be looking for new business.
The Dallas Business Journal reports Verizon is wrapping up its 6-year, $22.9 billion dollar commitment to make fiber-optic television, phone service and high-speed Internet access available in 16 states.
Verizon is quick to say it's not getting rid of FiOS, but merely completing the build-out of current projects and then focusing on marketing.
