In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Luis Sardinas — True, he's only started two games in the past week, but in that time, he's tied for second on the team with four RBIs in the last six games. Another of the Rangers' young middle infield prospects, Sardinas is hitting .500 in his eight at-bats with two big doubles.

Rougned Odor — In his last five games, Odor has continued his surge back to relevance after a long struggle. The 20-year-old is hitting .316 in his last five games with three doubles and leads the team in that span with five RBIs.

Robinson Chirinos — Further making his case to be the Rangers' starting catcher in 2015, Chirinos is hitting .429 with three RBIs in his last four games.

Derek Holland — He's thrown 13 1/3 innings in his last two starts over the past week, and he's allowed a run in each start to go with 13 strikeouts and three walks — all of which came in Wednesday's no-decision.

Who's Off?

Adrian Beltre — The veteran third baseman, who has been the Rangers' best player all season, is batting just .238 over his last six games. In that time, he has just two extra-base hits (both doubles) and has six strikeouts.
