Whatever Cowboys Ask of Him, Gachkar Says He's Ready

Fifth-year linebacker Andrew Gachkar joined the Cowboys as a free agent this offseason

Veteran linebacker Andrew Gachkar is going to see a lot of playing time Sunday in Tampa Bay.

What we’re not sure of is exactly where he’ll be on the field.

The most obvious answer is on the weak side, where the starter Sean Lee is doubtful with a concussion and Anthony Hitchens is questionable with an ankle injury. Middle linebacker Rolando McClain has missed some practice time this week with a hand injury this week, so there’s a chance we could see Gachkar in the middle as well.

The good news is Gachkar says he’ll be ready, wherever they put him.

I’m always ready to play,” Gachkar told the team’s official website. “I know every position. The coaches trust me. If ‘Hitch’ can go, I’ll be ready to go wherever I’m needed. If he can’t go, I’m ready to play. I’m not worried about it.”
