Former Cowboy Vinny Testaverde is headed to the Hall of Fame. Not the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, but the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana.
Testaverde played 21 seasons in the NFL, with the Buccaneers, the Browns/Ravens, Jets, Cowboys, the Jets again, and then the Patriots and Panthers.
As far as Cowboys lore goes, Testaverde will be remembered as one of the many quarterbacks who came between Troy Aikman and Tony Romo. Testaverde replaced Quincy Carter (who had failed a drug test) and was replaced by Drew Bledsoe. Who was replaced by Romo.
Testaverde played for the University of Miami in college, where, in 1986, he won the Davey OβBrien Award as well as the Heisman Trophy.
