Amon G. Carter is getting an upgrade.
TCU has announced plans to spend $100 million at Amon G. Carter Stadium on luxury suites and premium seating. The school announced the fundraising campaign five years after a $164 million overhaul prior to TCU joining the Big 12.
Two new levels of luxury seating will be added above the upper deck on the east side of the stadium. The expansion includes two private club, over 1,000 club seats and 20 luxury suites. A 100-foot balcony will also overlook Frog Alley and the TCU campus.
If the fundraising goal is met by the April 2018 deadline, construction will begin in May with the hope of completion before the 2019 season.
