Steven Jackson Wants Cowboys to Give Him a Call

Add Steven Jackson to the list of veteran running backs who would like the Dallas Cowboys to give him a call.

On Friday morning, perhaps inspired by the news that Darren McFadden would be placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list with ongoing hamstring issues, Jackson tweeted a photo of his number, 39, being projected above AT&T Stadium, the home of the Cowboys, not unlike the Bat-Signal.

Jackson, as you could probably guess given that he’s on Twitter attempting to reach out to teams, is without a team at the moment. He spent the last two seasons with the Falcons after nine years with the Rams and is currently the NFL’s active career rushing leader, with 11,388 yards.

A first round pick out of Oregon State in 2004, Jackson is a three-time Pro Bowler, but his last appearance came in 2010.
