Steven Jackson Wants Cowboys to Give Him a Call

Add Steven Jackson to the list of veteran running backs who would like the Dallas Cowboys to give him a call.

On Friday morning, perhaps inspired by the news that Darren McFadden would be placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list with ongoing hamstring issues, Jackson tweeted a photo of his number, 39, being projected above AT&T Stadium, the home of the Cowboys, not unlike the Bat-Signal.

Jackson, as you could probably guess given that heโ€™s on Twitter attempting to reach out to teams, is without a team at the moment. He spent the last two seasons with the Falcons after nine years with the Rams and is currently the NFLโ€™s active career rushing leader, with 11,388 yards.

A first round pick out of Oregon State in 2004, Jackson is a three-time Pro Bowler, but his last appearance came in 2010.
