Ruff Hopes Home Crowd Makes Presence Felt in Game 7

The Stars' Game 1 win is their only home win of the series to this point

The Dallas Stars battled the St. Louis Blues all the way down to the wire in the regular season for the top spot in the Western Conference, and their ability to stay ahead of their rivals in April means tonight’s Game 7 will take place in Dallas.

Stars coach Lindy Ruff hopes the home crowd makes their presence felt on Wednesday night.

"Well, I hope it's a big difference for Game 7,” Ruff said, per Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News. “I think our guys are excited to be here at home.

“The one thing we spent a lot of time talking about at the start of camp was our goal for going into the year, was to be a better team on home ice. And we accomplished that, and now we've got a game on home ice here in front of our fans that we deserve, we worked hard to get, and we want it to be a difference for us."

The Stars have only beat the Blues at home once this series, in Game One.
