Quarterback Tony Romo did not practice with his Dallas Cowboys teammates on Wednesday, opting instead to remain at the team hotel to receive treatment on his achy back. He did participate in the team’s walkthrough on Tuesday.
Of course, Romo’s absence isn’t a surprise. He has been held out of Wednesday practice sessions almost all season as a precautionary measure against aggravating his surgically repaired back.
Romo’s latest issue is two small fractures, suffered when he was sacked in the Monday night loss to the Washington Redskins last week.
“Following a normal schedule but also listening to his body,” head coach Jason Garrett said of Romo, per the Dallas Morning News. “We had a good, productive walk through at the hotel today. We anticipate him adopting the schedule we’ve had for most of the year.”
