Rolando McClain Dealing with Concussion Symptoms

McClain had to leave Sunday's win over the Lions in the second quarter

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain was forced to exit Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions in the second quarter and the team will continue to monitor him for concussion symptoms as the week goes on, Jason Garrett said Sunday night.

He had concussion-like symptoms and that’s why he had to come out of the game,” Garrett said, per the Dallas Morning News. “So we’ll continue to monitor him. He came into the locker room and he went home already, so we’ve just got to see how he’s doing when he comes in [Monday].”

At one point, it was being reported that McClain was actually suffering from dehydration stemming for an illness, but it became clear as team doctors evaluated him on the sideline that it was a concussion issue.

McClain will have to pass the NFL concussion protocol to be available for next Sunday’s divisional round matchup with the Packers in Green Bay.
