Dallas-based Falcon Companies is signing agreements to help national restaurants chains find new locations in Texas and across the country, according to this press release Nancy Nichols posted on SideDish.
One of them? Celebrity Ventures. What do they do?
Sports-oriented restaurant with a gender neutral design, each restaurant is partnered and named after a different local, sports hero. In Dallas, the concept will be focused around Dallas Cowboy’s star Emmitt Smith.
Yeah, suck it, Troy -- you can have your wings, but Emmitt's going to have a whole restaurant.
The other new Falcon clients are pretty big names as well, including Brick House Tavern + Tap, Mariano's and La Hacienda Ranch, and a little restaurant chain called Joe's Crab Shack.
While we don't think having more Joe's Crab Shacks is a good idea, ramping up the locations of Smashburger sounds like a better idea -- another client Falcon has nabbed is the Denver-based Smashburger which Cowboys Leonard Davis and Marc Columbo have already helped bring to DFW.
We can't wait to eat a Smashburger (it's a burger economy, after all) but we'll red-shirt the first go round of Smith's grill until the menu (or is that playbook?) is revealed.
