Rangers Prospects Chosen for Futures Game

The Texas Rangers' farm system is starting to gain back some of the praise it had a few years back, and for the second straight year, the Rangers will have two of their prospects playing in the MLB Futures Game as part of All-Star week in Cincinnati on July 12.

Last year, Joey Gallo played for Team USA in Minneapolis, and catcher Jorge Alfaro was behind the plate for the International team. Gallo, if you'll remember, homered in the game and made waves on the Internet with a batting practice homer that hit a promotional truck DEEP in the right field concourse.

This year, it's going to be two outfielders from Double-A Frisco, and once again it'll be one on Team USA and one of the International squad.
