Last week’s blockbuster trade that left the L.A. franchise with the No. 1 pick all but assures that two of the top three picks will be quarterbacks and slides down another draftable defensive player for Dallas.
When Goff and Wentz go in the top three, the Cowboys will be on the clock with their choice of Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa or Florida State cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
The Cowboys will leave the 1st round without their quarterback of the future. But they’ll have – even better – a defensive impact player of the present.
