As we get closer and closer to the return of Rangers co-ace Yu Darvish, it's becoming more and more clear that Darvish is simply ready to go following Tommy John surgery 14 months ago.
Darvish, who hasn't pitched in a regular-season game for the Rangers since August 2014, made his third rehab start on Tuesday morning in Midland, of all places, with Double-A Frisco, and once again, he shined.
Darvish worked five innings, needing just 68 pitches to get through it, while striking out six and walking one. He allowed three hits and no runs.

Yes, it was against Double-A hitters, but that doesn't matter. Stuff is stuff, man, and Darvish has plenty of it.
Truthfully, I think Darvish could go to Houston and take the mound this weekend against the Astros, but the Rangers will almost certainly give him one more rehab outing to get through six innings before sending him out against the Pirates at the end of the month.
Whenever Darvish gets back to the big-league mound, it's going to be awesome.
