Lawrence Tries to Boost Cowboys' Lagging Pass Rush

A team desperate for a pass rush – the Cowboys have only 11 sacks, or 16 fewer than this week’s opponent in London, the 1-8 Jaguars – received only a little boost from their highly regarded defensive end. Lawrence played 27 snaps against Arizona, recording two tackles and only once applying pressure on quarterback Carson Palmer.

The rookie was active, and his upside remains tantalizing. With Anthony Spencer rounding into shape and Henry Melton now awake with four sacks in the past two weeks, there’s still hope for the Cowboys’ pass rush.

But as of now, only three teams – Cardinals, Raiders and Falcons – have fewer sacks than Dallas.
