Fan Hit in Head by Foul Ball, Taken to Hospital

A woman was taken to the hospital after she was struck in the head by a foul ball at Globe Life Park in Arlington during the Texas Rangers' game against the Detroit Tigers Sunday afternoon.

The woman was seated in the 25th row down the right-field line when she was struck in the head by a liner hit by Texas outfielder Willie Calhoun.

Calhoun waited for a few minutes and watched as the fan was attended to at her seat before he returned to the batter's box.

The fan eventually walked out of the seating area accompanied by stadium personnel and was transported to a hospital for further evaluation.
