Carter's Elbow Feels Fine

Bruce Carter went down for the season on Thanksgiving of last year with a dislocated elbow

Dallas Cowboys inside linebacker Bruce Carter showed a flash of brilliance last season before suffering a dislocated elbow on Thanksgiving Day. But he returned to full workouts last week, and says the elbow is just fine.

“It’s great. My arm is great,” Carter said Wednesday, per the Dallas Morning News. “Everything is back to normal. I’m back bench-pressing, and I’m just ready to go.”

Carter will move from inside linebacker in the 3-4 used by Rob Ryan to weakside backer in the 4-3 used by new defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin this year. But thanks in no small part to his experience at North Carolina, he feels that he’s up for the challenge.

“That’s what I did in college and that’s what has got me to do this point, so I’m going to just go out there,” Carter said. “I feel natural at it, I feel comfortable and I’m just going to go out there and play ball.”
