Brahmas Prepare for Big Weekend

First back-to-back games of season

The Brahmas prepare for a big test this weekend as they play their first series of back-to-back-to-back games for the 2008-09 season.

Brahmas coaches Dan Wildfong and Ron Vogel are keeping the Brahmas focused for the vigorous week ahead with strong practices at the NYTEX Sports Centre.

Texas will be without forward Mark Carragher (30-day IR) and Jason Deitsch (currently with Houston-AHL) for the next three games.

Fans will notice a change on the ice this weekend as Texas traded Aaron Davis to the Rocky Mountain Rage for future considerations.

Davis had three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in 6 games for the Brahmas; all three points came on the powerplay.

With the departure of veteran forward Aaron Davis, Brahmas defenseman Kevin McLeod will return to his number 21 from last season.

Texas hits the road for Oklahoma City Friday, but will return home to face Odessa Saturday night at the NYTEX Sports Centre for a 7:05 PM start.

The Brahmas are 4-1-1, third in the Southeast Division of the Central Hockey League.
