Ogletree's Just Happy To Be Here

Undrafted rookie receiver Kevin Ogletree was very probably the surprise of the preseason, bursting on the scene, stealing the fifth receiver spot and catching two preseason touchdown passes in the process. By Friday night, it seemed clear that the Virginia product would make the 53-man roster.

But, predictably, Ogletree approached the media after the game in his usual understated manner, speaking vaguely about hopes and dreams.

"It's just my dream, it's what I want to do," Ogletree said. "It's where I want to be. I don't think there's a better place to be. I'm looking forward to it, I hope everything goes well, I hope I'm around tomorrow. I hope we're getting ready for Tampa on Monday."

Lo and behold, that's exactly where Ogletree is. And he got there by quietly producing, gaining attention in the media steadily throughout the preseason, and never looking back. In Ogletree, this is a mindset that is never far off.

"I came in, really just trying to be a part of the Cowboys and just help this great organization and just add whatever little bit of spirit I can to it.

"I want to be a part of this team. That's my dream."
See that? Dreams do come true. And it's only mid-September.
