I know that headline appears dramatic. An all or nothing declaration with four-games left to play. And while last week was too early to panic, this week provides that kind of atmosphere. The Cowboys season could very well come down to today's game against the red hot San Diego Chargers.
The brutal December schedule has been discussed for months now. We're right in the teeth of it. After last weeks loss at New York, Dallas has left themselves zero room for error. With trips to New Orleans and a scrappy Washington team on the horizon today's home game is one of the final opportunities to seize control of the division.
The negativity snuck back into Valley Ranch this week about the infamous month of December. In fact, another match up of team vs media launched this week after a reporter questioned whether or not head coach Wade Phillips could call his guys "winners". Let the Wade bashing begin. Today's game is thick with plot and fact. A win and the December woes are forgotten for a week. A loss, the walls come caving in. I firmly believe 10-wins gets the Cowboys in the post season. One of those needs to come today. Because the waters ahead are choppy, and a coaches job along with players' legacies are on the line.
