Adduci Could Return Monday

Jon Daniels said another Texas Rangers injury victim could be rejoining the Rangers on Monday when the team opens a series in The Bronx against the Yankees, joining Geovany Soto, who will make his season debut on Friday night after missing the season to date due to knee surgery.

Jim Adduci, a bench player who entered the year as the fourth outfielder, broke his pinky and has been on the disabled list since April 19, but has been on a rehab assignment in Round Rock that was temporarily interrupted by another finger scare.

Daniels said Adduci could be back on Monday, and would likely provide some depth in the corner outfield spots and possibly see some time at first base.

Before the injury, Adduci was 6-for-13 (.462) with two doubles and three RBIs in his limited action. He has a great speed tool and could get a good taste of action over the remainder of the season to see where he'll figure into the Rangers' 2015 plans.
